KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a traditional Ayurvedic adaptogen rich in withanolides and other bioactive compounds that help the body maintain balance under physical and emotional stress. Systematic reviews and randomized, double‑blind, placebo‑controlled trials in healthy or stressed adults show that ashwagandha root extracts significantly reduce perceived stress and anxiety, lower cortisol, and improve sleep quality, supporting its role in stress adaptation and overall vitality (Chandrasekhar et al., 2012; Arumugam et al., 2024). Clinical overviews and meta‑analyses also report improvements in cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, fatigue, and multiple cognitive domains (memory, attention, processing speed) and mood, indicating benefits for both mental and physical performance in adults, particularly in those with high stress or when used alongside regular training (Bonilla et al., 2021; Zakrzewska et al., 2024). In a recent clinical trial, a standardized ashwagandha root extract combined with piperine (black pepper extract) significantly reduced stress and anxiety symptoms, and improved quality of life and selected cognitive measures, illustrating that piperine can act as a bioavailability enhancer that potentiates ashwagandha’s adaptogenic effects (Majeed et al., 2023).*
