KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

CEYLON CINNAMON
Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) provides aromatic polyphenols such as cinnamaldehyde and procyanidins that act as antioxidant, anti‑inflammatory, and antimicrobial compounds, helping neutralize free radicals and protect lipids from oxidative damage in preclinical and human studies (Rao and Gan, 2014; Kawatra and Rajagopalan, 2015). In healthy adults, a randomized crossover trial showed that Ceylon cinnamon extract taken with a carbohydrate‑rich meal reduced post‑meal blood glucose excursions without increasing insulin, supporting a role in healthy glucose metabolism (Beejmohun et al., 2014). Broader clinical reviews in people with impaired metabolism and type 2 diabetes report that cinnamon supplementation improves fasting blood glucose, and other glycolipid markers through insulin‑mimetic and enzyme‑modulating mechanisms, with Ceylon cinnamon also associated with better lipid profiles and body‑weight measures (Gou et al., 2025; Ruhi et al., 2022). A phase‑I clinical study in healthy adults found that regular Ceylon cinnamon intake led to significant, sustained reductions in systolic and diastolic blood pressure and in total and LDL cholesterol, indicating supportive effects on vascular health (Ranasinghe et al., 2017). Meta‑analyses pooling randomized trials likewise show modest but significant average reductions in blood pressure with cinnamon supplementation (Hadi et al., 2020).*
