KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

D‑mannose

D‑mannose is a simple sugar that is absorbed, filtered into the urine, and can bind to the surface of Escherichia coli bacteria, competitively blocking their attachment to the bladder lining and supporting natural urinary flushing (Scaglione et al., 2021). Systematic reviews of randomized trials report that D‑mannose significantly lowers urinary tract infection (UTI) incidence compared with placebo and can prolong UTI‑free intervals in women prone to recurrence (Kyriakides et al., 2020; Han et al., 2024). Additional controlled trials of D‑mannose‑based supplements in women with uncomplicated or recurrent UTIs show higher rates of symptom resolution and bacteriological clearance versus placebo, suggesting a useful non‑antibiotic strategy to help maintain urinary tract health (Domenici et al., 2016; Salvatore et al., 2023).*

Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon)

Cranberry fruit provides proanthocyanidins (PACs), flavonoids, and other phenolic compounds with antioxidant activity; its distinctive A‑type PACs can prevent P‑fimbriated E. coli from attaching to bladder wall cells, an early step in urinary tract infections (Howell et al., 2007). Clinical reviews and meta‑analyses report that appropriately standardized cranberry products can reduce recurrent UTIs in women by limiting bacterial adhesion and supporting urinary tract health (Brendler and Howell, 2020; Wu et al., 2024). A randomized trial also showed that cranberry extracts can improve markers of antioxidant status and endothelial function, such as flow‑mediated dilation in healthy adults, suggesting broader vascular and oxidative‑stress benefits (Heiss et al., 2022).*

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

Dandelion root contains chlorogenic acids, sesquiterpene lactones, and other phytochemicals with documented antioxidant, anti‑inflammatory, and hypolipidemic activities, contributing to its long‑standing use as a digestive and hepatic tonic (Jalili et al., 2020; Singh et al., 2025; Tanasa Acretei et al., 2025). A small human pilot study indicates that dandelion leaf and aerial‑part extracts have diuretic effects, increasing urinary frequency and excretion, which may assist urinary tract cleansing when used alongside other UTI‑focused strategies (Clare et al., 2009).*
