KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

GREEN TEA
Green tea is derived from the leaves of Camellia sinensis and contains catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), and L-theanine, which work synergistically to support multiple aspects of health and wellness (Reygaert, 2017; Chacko et al., 2010).
A clinical study in healthy adults reported improvements in perceived vitality and overall wellness after four weeks of supplementation containing standardized green tea extract, consistent with a gentle energy‑boosting effect without excessive stimulation (Capodice et al., 2015). Other randomized controlled trials show that green tea extracts rich in catechins promote weight loss by increasing daily energy expenditure and fat oxidation, leading to significant reductions in body weight, body fat mass, waist circumference, and visceral fat area compared with low‑catechin control beverages over 12 weeks (Nagao et al., 2007; Nagao et al., 2005). Human and mechanistic reviews further indicate that green tea's combination of caffeine, catechins, and L‑theanine can support aspects of mental performance, such as attention, alertness, and cognitive processing, while providing antioxidant and vascular benefits that help maintain brain health (Chacko et al., 2010; Mancini et al., 2017).*

A Green Tea Extract High in Catechins Reduces Body Fat and Cardiovascular Risks in Humans
Tomonori Nagao et al. (2007). Obesity, 15(6), 1473–1483
In a 12-week randomized, double-blind, multicenter clinical trial, 240 healthy adults were assigned to consume either a green tea extract (GTE) high in catechins or a control beverage. Table 3 presents the changes in body composition from baseline to week 12 in both groups. The results demonstrate that daily consumption of the high-catechin green tea extract led to significantly greater reductions in body weight, body mass index, body fat ratio, body fat mass, waist circumference, hip circumference, visceral fat area, and subcutaneous fat area compared with the control group (p<0.05), while lean body mass increased significantly over time (p<0.05).
