KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Vitamins K2 & D3 + Calcium

Vitamin D3, vitamin K2, and calcium work together to regulate calcium metabolism: vitamin D3 enhances intestinal calcium and phosphate absorption, vitamin K2 activates calcium‑binding proteins such as osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein so calcium is deposited in bone rather than soft tissues, and calcium provides the structural mineral needed for bone mineralization (Aaseth et al., 2024; Yan et al., 2023).

Randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews in adults — particularly postmenopausal women — show that vitamin D3 plus calcium reduces fracture risk and improves or maintains bone mineral density, and that adding vitamin K (including K2) to vitamin D and calcium further improves vertebral and radial bone measures, helping maintain bone health (Thacher & Clarke, 2011; Iwamoto et al., 2000; Rusu et al., 2024).

Clinical and observational data also indicate that adequate vitamin D and K2 status is linked to healthier vascular function (van Ballegooijen et al., 2017). Long‑term K2 supplementation (as menaquinone-7, MK-7) improves arterial stiffness in healthy postmenopausal women (Knapen et al., 2015), and vitamin K2 supplementation increases maximal cardiac output in trained adults (McFarlin et al., 2017).

Beyond its role in calcium metabolism, vitamin D3 also acts as an immunomodulatory nutrient. Vitamin D3 supports antimicrobial peptide production, helps maintain epithelial and endothelial barrier integrity, and fine‑tunes cytokine and T‑cell responses to promote balanced innate and adaptive immune function (Donati et al., 2025; Hossein‑Nezhad & Holick, 2013; Hewison, 2012).*
